SME’s are the cornerstone of any economy. It is the most numerous business setup and is involved in various streams of industry. Depending on certain economies, SME’s may constitute more than ninety percent of the entire business establishment that are registered and may account for about forty to fifty percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product. SME’s is typically predicated by its size in terms of headcount and turnover.
As with any businesses, SME’s also undertake monitoring of all its sales activities. It has to be able to manage and plan opportunities that come its way and make sure that it is followed through with the minimal resources at its disposal. However, unlike large corporations that can afford to invest in a workflow system or even a Customer Relationship Management application, SME’s lack the financial clout to do so. It may also be the case that its size limits its ability to invest in such a system as it does not have the economies-of-scale to warrant such a purchase.
This inability of traditional “on premise” software vendors to meet the price point of SME’s effectively creates a market for a hosted CRM application. It allows SME’s to afford highly functional CRM application, at a fraction of the cost of procuring a similar system, and without the cost and complexities of having to invest in a hosting infrastructure as well as a retinue of skill set to employ and with that the Tam Tam CRM was customized to meet the requirements of the SME’s.
